About RenewaNews

RenewaNews is an independent daily briefing on the renewable energy industry: what got built, what got financed, what got legislated, and what it means for everyone else.

We cover the sector as an industry and a capital story, not as a cause. Whether a project pencils. Whether a subsidy survives an election. Whether storage economics just shifted in a market you're exposed to. Those are the questions our readers are paid to answer, and they're what we organize around.

Global by default

Most renewables coverage is written from inside one market and stops at its border. Ours doesn't. A single briefing might run from Indian storage procurement to Romanian project finance to Brazilian biofuel lending to European grid constraints — because that's where the industry actually is, and because the capital moves between them.

What we publish

The daily briefing. Weekday mornings, sorted by technology, market, and issue — solar, storage, wind, hydrogen; policy, capital markets, M&A.

Original analysis. When there's something worth saying that the coverage hasn't said.

How we work

We link straight to the original publisher, every time. We don't republish other people's reporting or wrap it in our own page. What we add is selection and context — deciding what's worth your morning, and saying why.

Our full editorial method, including where we use AI, is set out in our Editorial Standards. (Coming soon...)

Who reads it

Developers and IPPs, investors and lenders, utilities, policy staff, and the advisors around them — people who need the whole global picture rather than one country's slice of it.

Who we are

RenewaNews is edited by owner Ray Pader. Ray has been publishing news on RenewaNews for over 15 years, but recent technology has warranted a rewrite of the way the site works. Welcome to our new site.

We're published by Red Rocks Consultants and we're independent . No developer, manufacturer, utility, or investor holds any interest in what we cover.

The briefing is free. Subscribe → (Coming Soon)
